Summary
CVE-2024-9851 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the LSX Tour Operator plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to and including 1.4.9, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping during SVG file uploads. Consequently, authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher can exploit this flaw to inject malicious web scripts into web pages. Upon accessing the infected SVG file, unsuspecting users will unwittingly execute these scripts, potentially leading to data theft, unauthorized account access, or other malicious actions.
