CVE-2024-9769

Summary

CVE-2024-9769 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Video Gallery plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 2.4.1. This issue arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the admin settings. Attackers with administrator-level permissions can exploit this vulnerability by injecting arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant threat in multi-site installations and those where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
