Summary
CVE-2024-9758 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Tungsten Automation Power PDF. This issue is an Out-Of-Bounds Read Information Disclosure vulnerability, which allows remote attackers to access sensitive information on impacted installations of the software. The flaw is located in the handling of Annotation objects and arises due to insufficient validation of user-supplied data. This can result in reading data beyond the allocated buffer. While this vulnerability does not directly lead to code execution, it could be combined with other weaknesses for more severe attacks. The ZDI (Zero Day Initiative) assigned this vulnerability the identifier ZDI-CAN-24474.
