Summary

CVE-2024-9727 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Trimble SketchUp Viewer. This issue arises when the software fails to validate the existence of an object before performing operations on it during SKP file parsing. An attacker can exploit this use-after-free vulnerability by crafting a malicious SKP file or luring the target to a malicious webpage. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. This vulnerability, identified as ZDI-CAN-24111, poses a significant risk to users of Trimble SketchUp Viewer.
