CVE-2024-9668 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Royal Elementor Addons and Templates plugin for WordPress. This issue, which impacts versions up to and including 1.7.1001, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into the plugin's Countdown widget. These scripts will be executed whenever a user accesses a page containing the injected content, posing a significant security risk. The root cause of this vulnerability lies in insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes.
