Summary

CVE-2024-9660 is a vulnerability affecting the School Management System plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the mj_smgt_load_documets_new() and mj_smgt_load_documets() functions, which fail to validate file types during upload. As a result, authenticated attackers with Student-level access or higher can exploit this weakness to upload arbitrary files on the vulnerable server. Successful exploitation could potentially lead to remote code execution. Versions of the plugin up to and including 91.5.0 are at risk.
