Summary
CVE-2024-9357 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the xili-tidy-tags plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.12.04 are vulnerable to this issue. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'action' parameter. An attacker can exploit this flaw by injecting arbitrary web scripts, which are executed when a user is tricked into performing an action, such as clicking on a malicious link. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as it allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious code into WordPress pages.
