Summary
CVE-2024-9304 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the LocateAndFilter plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of SVG file uploads, enabling authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user opens the affected SVG file, posing a significant security risk. Versions up to and including 1.6.14 are impacted.
