Summary
CVE-2024-9272 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the R Animated Icon Plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to and including 1.0, allows authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping during SVG file uploads, resulting in the execution of these scripts whenever a user accesses the affected SVG file.
