Summary
CVE-2024-9172 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Demo Importer Plus plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.0.1, allows authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher to upload malicious SVG files. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, resulting in the injection of arbitrary web scripts into the pages that execute when users access the affected SVG files.
