Summary
CVE-2024-9052 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting the vllm-project vllm version 0.6.0. This issue lies in the distributed training API, where the function vllm.distributed.GroupCoordinator.recv_object() utilizes pickle.loads() for deserializing received object bytes without proper sanitization. Consequently, this creates a remote code execution vulnerability, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.
