Summary
CVE-2024-8987: The Youzify plugin for WordPress, used for creating community and social network features, is found to have a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This issue affects versions up to 1.3.0 and allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into the youzify_media shortcode. The shortcoming lies in the plugin's insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, leading to the execution of arbitrary web scripts whenever a user accesses an affected page.
