Summary
CVE-2024-8858 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Elementor Addons plugin by Livemesh for WordPress. This issue, which exists up to and including version 8.5, allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'piechart_settings' parameter. Successful exploitation enables attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts on pages visited by unsuspecting users.
