CVE-2024-8743 is a recently disclosed vulnerability affecting the Bit File Manager plugin for WordPress. This open-source file manager and code editor is used by many WordPress sites, and its flaw allows authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access or higher, to upload .css and .js files despite lacking proper file type checks. This vulnerability paves the way for Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, potentially putting sensitive user data at risk.
