Summary
CVE-2024-8725 is a vulnerability affecting multiple WordPress plugins and themes, allowing authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher to upload .css and .js files to any directory within the WordPress root. This issue arises due to insufficient checks, enabling lower-privileged roles to bypass restrictions. Successful exploitation could result in Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. The Advanced File Manager Shortcodes plugin must be installed for this vulnerability to be exploited.
