Summary
CVE-2024-8721 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Tracking Code Manager plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.3.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the tracking code field. Consequently, authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will be executed whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk.
