CVE-2024-8550 is a Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability affecting the /load-workflow endpoint in modelscope/agentscope version v0.0.4. Malicious users can exploit this weakness by manipulating the filename parameter, leading to the unintended reading of arbitrary files on the server. The root cause is the inadequate sanitization of user input passed to the os.path.join function, allowing file access beyond the intended directory. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it may expose sensitive information, such as API keys, to attackers.
