Summary

CVE-2024-8476 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Easy PayPal Events plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.2.1 are susceptible to this issue. The root cause is the absence or incorrect implementation of nonce validation in the wpeevent_plugin_buttons() function. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this flaw by crafting malicious requests that, if executed, can result in the deletion of arbitrary posts. The vulnerability is significant as it can potentially harm the integrity of WordPress websites by allowing attackers to manipulate content without proper authorization.
