Summary
CVE-2024-8060 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting OpenWebUI version 0.3.0. The issue lies in the audio API endpoint `/audio/api/v1/transcriptions`, which suffers from a path traversal vulnerability. Despite insufficient validation on both the `file.content_type` and user-controlled filenames, the application fails to prevent arbitrary file uploads. An authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to overwrite critical files within the Docker container, potentially gaining root access and executing remote code.
