Summary

CVE-2024-8027 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the netease-youdao/QAnything application. Malicious knowledge files uploaded to the knowledge base can trigger XSS attacks during user chats, putting all users at risk. This issue allows attackers to inject malicious scripts into chat sessions, potentially stealing user data or taking control of their accounts. All versions of the software prior to the fix are vulnerable to this attack. Users are strongly encouraged to update their software as soon as possible to mitigate the risk.
