Summary
CVE-2024-7847 is a remote code execution vulnerability reported by Sharon Brizinov of Claroty Research - Team82. Affected Rockwell Automation products contain a feature that allows users to open project files with embedded VBA scripts, which can be configured to run automatically upon opening. Malicious actors can exploit this vulnerability by tricking users into opening infected RSP/RSS project files, resulting in the execution of malicious code. Connected devices may also be susceptible to this exploit.
