Summary

CVE-2024-7628 is a vulnerability affecting the MStore API plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 4.15.2 are impacted. The issue lies in the 'verify_id_token' function, which utilizes loose comparison. This weakness enables unauthenticated attackers to bypass authentication and assume the identity of any existing user, including administrators, by leveraging an @flutter.io email address or phone number. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must have access to the target WordPress site and have firebase configured.
