Summary
CVE-2024-7617 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Contact Form to Any API plugin for WordPress. This issue exists in all versions up to and including 1.2.2, due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in Contact Form 7 form fields. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation could lead to significant security risks, including data theft or unauthorized website modifications. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this vulnerability.
