Summary
CVE-2024-7514 is a vulnerability affecting the WordPress Comments Import & Export plugin. This issue allows authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher to perform arbitrary file reads during the comments import process, up to and including version 2.3.7. The flaw arises from insufficient file path validation. The vulnerability can expose sensitive server information. Version 2.3.8 offers a partial solution, and the issue is fully addressed in version 2.3.9.
