Summary

CVE-2024-7510 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Trimble SketchUp. Malicious SKP files can exploit this flaw by causing a use-after-free condition during file parsing. The lack of proper object validation allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. User interaction, such as visiting a malicious webpage or opening a malicious file, is required to exploit this vulnerability. This issue, originally discovered as ZDI-CAN-19631, is a significant risk for affected installations of Trimble SketchUp.
