Summary
CVE-2024-7462 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability that impacts the TOTOLINK N350RT router running firmware version 9.3.5u.6139_B20201216. The issue lies in the function setWizardCfg of the file /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi, where a buffer overflow can be triggered by manipulating the argument ssid. An attacker can exploit this remotely, making it a significant security threat. The exploit for this vulnerability (VDB-273555) has been made public, and the vendor, despite being notified early, has yet to respond or provide a patch.
