Summary

CVE-2024-7100 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Bold Page Builder plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the plugin's bt_bb_button shortcode. This flaw enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk. Versions of the plugin up to and including 5.0.2 are vulnerable to this issue.
