Summary

CVE-2024-6896 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.0.96.1 are impacted. This issue arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping during SVG file uploads. Authenticated attackers, with Author-level access or higher, can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses the infected SVG file, posing a significant security risk.
