Summary
CVE-2024-6848 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Post and Page Builder plugin for WordPress by BoldGrid. Versions up to and including 1.26.6 are impacted by this issue. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the boldgrid_canvas_image AJAX endpoint, which allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses a specially crafted SVG file, potentially leading to unintended actions or data exposure.
