Summary

CVE-2024-6437 is a vulnerability affecting Arista EOS platforms when using specific traffic redirection features, including policy-based routing (PBR), BGP Flowspec, or interface traffic policy. These features are intended to redirect IP traffic to a specified next hop, but certain IPv4 packets with IP options may bypass this action and be slow-path forwarded (FIB routed) by the kernel instead. This can result in unexpected traffic behavior and potential security risks.
