Summary
CVE-2024-58089 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel with Btrfs file system. When running Btrfs with a block size smaller than the page size on aarch64 architecture, there is a high chance of crashing the kernel due to a double accounting race during the delalloc range processing. The issue results in bad extent accounting, kernel NULL pointer dereference, and ultimately a kernel panic. This vulnerability can lead to system crashes and potential data loss.
