Summary
CVE-2024-57728 is a vulnerability affecting SimpleHelp remote support software version 5.5.7 and earlier. It enables admin users to upload malicious zip files, which can bypass security boundaries and place arbitrary files anywhere in the system. This issue, known as a zip slip vulnerability, can ultimately lead to the execution of unauthorized code on the host, effectively compromising the SimpleHelp server.
