Summary

CVE-2024-56883 is a new vulnerability affecting Sage DPW prior to version 2024_12_001. This issue involves a failure to enforce access controls, allowing low-privileged users with the employee role to create courses for other employees. The vulnerability exists on the server side, and attackers can exploit it by modifying valid course creation requests, replacing the current user ID with that of another user. Despite the lack of this option in the user interface, unauthorized course creation becomes possible.
