Summary
CVE-2024-56724 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel's intel_soc_pmic_bxtwc driver. The driver, which is used to manage Intel Power Management Integrated Circuits, incorrectly implements the conversion to use the hierarchy of IRQ chips. This flaw results in the use of IRQ 0 as a Linux IRQ number, triggering a warning message. To address this issue, the driver must be reworked to respect IRQ domains when creating each MFD device separately, as the domains are not consistent across all devices.
