Summary
CVE-2024-56657 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel's ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture) component. Previously, non-critical warnings related to symlink errors were issued using the WARN() function. However, these warnings were found to confuse fuzzers and not provide useful information. With this patch, the warnings have been downgraded to use the normal dev_err() function instead, making the error messages clearer and more informative for developers.
