Summary
CVE-2024-56618 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's imx: gpcv2 driver, specifically the adjust delay after power up handshake. This issue arises due to the insufficient udelay(5) time, which can trigger a kernel panic despite the need for a handshake with the correct timing. The issue is caused by the BUS clock of BLK-CTL being in a separate driver, necessitating a delay as a workaround. The recommended delay is udelay(10). The vulnerability can result in a system panic with related error messages and tracebacks.
