Summary
CVE-2024-56529 is a session fixation vulnerability affecting Mailcow versions up to 2024-11b. When HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security) is disabled on a user's browser, an attacker can manipulate the session identifier during login, allowing them to gain unauthorized access to the victim's web panel using the same session. This issue poses a significant security risk, as it can lead to unauthorized access and potential data breaches. Users are strongly advised to update their Mailcow installations to the latest version to mitigate this vulnerability.
