Summary

CVE-2024-56510 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions 3.0.2 to 3.9.0 and 4.0.0 of @marp-team/marp-core. Marp Core, which is the core component of the Marp ecosystem for creating presentations with Markdown, contains this issue. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient HTML sanitization. Versions 3.9.1 and 4.0.1 have been released with the necessary patches to address this concern. Users unable to update right away can disable HTML tags by setting the html: false option in the Marp class constructor as a temporary measure.
