Summary
CVE-2024-56011 is a newly discovered Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Responsive Google Maps product by IMBAA GmbH. The issue stems from improper neutralization of user input during web page generation. This flaw enables attackers to inject malicious scripts into the affected maps, which can then be executed in victims' browsers when they view the compromised page. Successful exploitation can lead to theft of user data, unauthorized access, or further malicious activities. The vulnerability has been identified in versions 1.2.5 and below of the Responsive Google Maps product. Users are urged to update their software to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
