Summary
CVE-2024-55661 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Laravel Pulse, a real-time application performance monitoring tool for Laravel applications, prior to version 1.3.1. The issue lies in the `remember()` method present in the `Laravel\\Pulse\\Livewire\\Concerns\\RemembersQueries` trait. This method, accessible via Livewire components, can be exploited by an authenticated user to execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input validation, allowing the call of any function or static method with no parameters or no strict parameter types. The affected components include all Pulse card components utilizing this trait. Version 1.3.1 includes a patch to mitigate the risk.
