CVE-2024-55653

Summary

CVE-2024-55653 is a vulnerability affecting the PwnDoc penetration test report generator. In versions prior to 0.5.4, an authenticated user can cause the backend to crash by raising an unhandled promise rejection during audits. The user doesn't need to know the specific audit ID, as an incorrect one will also trigger the issue. With the backend becoming unresponsive, the entire application becomes unusable for all users, and as of now, no patches have been released to address this vulnerability.
