Summary

CVE-2024-54840 is a vulnerability affecting the Password Vault Web Access (PVWA) component in CyberArk Privileged Access Manager Self-Hosted versions prior to 14.4. This issue stems from insufficient handling of environment concerns, which leads to a Host header injection vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this flaw to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information or even execute malicious code by manipulating the Host header in requests to the vulnerable system. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to organizations that have not yet applied the necessary patch to their CyberArk installations.
