Summary
CVE-2024-54505 is a type confusion issue that has been resolved with improved memory handling. This vulnerability, which affects iPadOS 17.7.2 and older, watchOS 11.1 and earlier, visionOS 1.1 and earlier, tvOS 18.1 and earlier, macOS Catalina through Monterey, and Safari 18.1 and earlier, as well as iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1, can be exploited by processing maliciously crafted web content. Memory corruption may occur as a result, posing a potential security risk. The vulnerability has been addressed in the latest updates for these operating systems and web browsers.
