Summary
CVE-2024-53770 is a newly discovered Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting RingCentral Communications. This issue allows an attacker to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks on unsuspecting users. The vulnerability exists in versions of RingCentral Communications from n/a through 1.6.1. An attacker could exploit this weakness by tricking a user into clicking a malicious link, resulting in the execution of malicious scripts in their browser. This could lead to unauthorized account activity or data theft. Users are advised to update their RingCentral Communications software to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
