Summary
CVE-2024-53725 is a newly disclosed vulnerability that combines Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) and Reflected XSS (Cross-Site Scripting) flaws in the Post Hits Counter plugin, affecting versions from n/a to 2.8.23. An attacker can exploit the CSRF vulnerability to trick a user into making unintended actions on a targeted website, while the Reflected XSS enables the attacker to inject malicious scripts into web pages viewed by other users.
