CVE-2024-52806 is a vulnerability affecting the SimpleSAMLphp SAML2 library, a PHP tool used for SAML2 functionality. This issue allows an attacker to induce XML External Entities (XXE) attacks by loading untrusted XML documents, such as SAMLResponses. The vulnerability can lead to potential information disclosure or even code execution, posing a serious security risk. The issue is resolved in versions 4.6.14 and 5.0.0-alpha.18.
