CVE-2024-52569

Summary

CVE-2024-52569 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting various versions of Teamcenter Visualization (V14.2, V14.3, V2312, V2406), as well as Tecnomatix Plant Simulation (V2302 and V2404). The affected applications contain an out-of-bounds write vulnerability, which can be triggered by parsing a specifically crafted WRL file. This issue could potentially allow an attacker to execute code in the context of the current process, posing a significant security risk. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest patched versions of these applications to mitigate this vulnerability (ZDI-CAN-24260).
