Summary
CVE-2024-52517 is a vulnerability affecting Nextcloud Server, a self-hosted personal cloud system. After saving "Global credentials" on the server, the API returns them in plain text, exposing them to potential attackers with active user sessions. This issue can lead to unauthorized access to user accounts. It is strongly advised to upgrade Nextcloud Server to versions 28.0.11, 29.0.8, or 30.0.1, and Nextcloud Enterprise Server to versions 25.0.13.13, 26.0.13.9, 27.1.11.9, 28.0.11, 29.0.8, or 30.0.1 to mitigate the risk.
