Summary
CVE-2024-52049 is a newly identified privilege escalation vulnerability affecting Trend Micro Apex One's LogServer component. An attacker who has already gained the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system can exploit this issue to escalate their privileges further. Although related to CVE-2024-52048, this vulnerability presents distinct security implications. Impacted installations are vulnerable to potential elevation of attacker's access levels.
