Summary

CVE-2024-51996 is a vulnerability affecting the Symphony process in the Symphony PHP framework. This module executes commands in sub-processes and contains a flaw that bypasses authentication when handling persisted remember-me cookies. The vulnerability lies in Symphony's failure to verify the username in the cookie against the one in the database, leading to unauthorized access. The issue is addressed in versions 5.4.47, 6.4.15, and 7.1.8 of the framework.
